ANTIAIRCRAFT COMMAND - Preserving the History of U.S. Army Anti-aircraft Artillery of World War II

7th Antiaircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion (Semimobile)

The following is the unit history produced by the 7th AAA AW Bn during the fall of 1945. The battalion prepared for amphibious operations stateside, then was shipped to Hawaii for jungle combat training.  The 7th went on to participate in the assaults on Guam, Leyte and the Ryukyu Islands.  Following the narrative is a list of decorated officers and enlisted men and copies of commendations received by the battalion.  A complete battalion roster is not included.

This PDF of the unit history was generously provided by Tim Paramore in honor of his father, Corporal Cecil Paramore of Battery D, whose name is handwritten throughout this copy. The final two pages of this document are a roster of Battery D members compiled by Corporal Paramore.
